
MBTA Map Requirements
Tracker in training (TT) qualifications:
1. TT teams are not allowed to charge an upfront fee. They may accept tips from satisfied hunters.
2. All new teams must have ONE of the following:
a. Have passed a UBT1 evaluation PLUS 5 real world recoveries. (defined as: deer must have covered at least 200 yards AND not left enough visible sign to be followed by eye. Photo documentation including dog and deer with shot/wound placement is required).
b. Have a minimum of 10 real world recoveries.
3. All new teams will require a basic back ground check (free to in state members, $25 for out of state members).
4. Abide by a professional and ethical code of conduct
5.Any tracker in their first season tracking for the public will be classified as a Tracker in Training (TT), regardless of other certifications, experience, or qualifications.-unless otherwise approved by the MBTA Board of Directors.
6. $50 map fee.
Full tracker qualifications:
1. Full trackers may set their own tracking and recovery fees.
2. All new teams must have ONE of the following:
a. Have passed a UBT 2 evaluation.
b. Have passed a UBT1 evaluation PLUS 10 real world recoveries.
c. Have a minimum of 15 real world recoveries.
3. All new teams will require a basic back ground check (free to in state members, $25 to out of state members).
4. Abide by a professional and ethical code of conduct
5. $50 map fee.

MBTA reserves the right to deny, suspend, or remove any team from the tracker map at any time, with or without notice, if the Board determines that the team no longer meets organizational standards, qualifications, ethical expectations, safety requirements, or acts in a manner deemed detrimental to the reputation or mission of the association. Placement on the map is a privilege, not a guarantee of permanent membership.
